Cat & Dog Boarding: A Typical Day
Dogs
Each morning, the dogs venture outside to our outdoor run for fresh air before breakfast. While they are outside, their kennels are cleaned, disinfected, and stocked with fresh linens.
Dogs are let out to stretch their legs and get one-on-one attention or playtime with friends depending on their ability and needs, on a regular schedule.
Cats
Your cat will be fed according to your specifications and their requirements, to ensure their routine is the same as it is at home. Additionally, our cat boarding area is separated from the dog area to ensure your kitty feels relaxed and safe while they stay with us.
We provide daily one-on-one interaction with kitties (if they want it!) including play, snuggles, and pets. Litter boxes are checked, cleaned and disinfected periodically throughout the day and we refresh linens on a daily basis.
Boarding For Pets With Special Needs
We welcome pet boarding guests with special needs at our staff's discretion.
We will do whatever is necessary to ensure they are comfortable and happy throughout their stay.
Boarding for animals with special needs includes pets with diabetes, seizures, multiple medications and certain behavioral conditions at additional cost.

- What accommodations and amenities do you have?
In addition to your pet’s comfortable and safe room in our climate-controlled facility, the following items and services are included to make your pet’s boarding stay at Bed & Biscuits enjoyable.
- Room service, dishware, and a cozy bed and blanket.
- Multiple playtimes and, for dogs, outdoor access in our enclosed play yard.
- Daily housekeeping services
- Complimentary laundry services for guests staying more than 5 nights.
- Is there a limit to the number of pets I can board at a time?
While we are able to accommodate several pets at one time, we do have limited kennel space available.
It is recommended that you contact our facility well in advance to secure space for your pets.
Our small size allows for each pet to get more individualized care from our dedicated boarding staff.
- How much does pet boarding cost?
Bed & Biscuits pet boarding provides a variety of rooms based on your pet’s size. We are also able to accommodate pets needing additional space with double rooms as well as family roommates.
- Doggie Dens – $38.00 (Additional Family Roommate – $17.00)
- Kitty Condos – $27.00 (Additional Family Roommate – $12.00)
- What requirements are there for my pet to board with Bed & Biscuits?
For the safety and health of all animals and staff, all pets must be up to date on required vaccinations. Written proof of vaccinations must be provided before the first day of your pet’s boarding stay.
Dogs: Rabies, Distemper, Bordetella/Kennel Cough, Negative fecal check within the last year
Cats: Rabies, Distemper, Negative fecal check within the last year
Our intake packet is required for each guest before their first stay. This gives us a better idea of how to keep your pet happy and comfortable during their stay.
- What time should I drop off and pick up my pet?
Drop off:
- Daily 9:00 am-11:00 am
Pick up:
- Weekdays 4:00 pm-6:00 pm
- Weekends 5:00 pm-7:00 pm
Reservations are required for all stays.
During our peak times, such as summer, we recommend that you call 6 weeks in advance to increase the chance that a spot will be available.
- What should I pack for my pet?
We always provide comfortable bedding and dishes, but you are welcome to bring any belongings you feel would keep your pet comfortable. In addition to comfort items, please bring the following for your pet’s boarding stay:
Your pet’s carrier or leash and collar.
Food: For your pet's stay you will need to pack meals that are separated into individual bags or small containers. We will provide bowls for your pet to use and ask that you leave their bowls at home unless your pet requires a slow feeder, bowl riser or other special accommodation.
Medication: If your pet takes any medication, bring it along for our staff to administer. If you do, they must be in their original container with the label attached.
If your pet requires Insulin there will be a fee of $9.00 per day to administer their medication.
There are also additional charges for other medications depending on temperament, ease of giving medications, and quantity of medications.
Extra charges for care will always be discussed with the client before being charged.
Treats: Any treats you would like your pet to have, either in general or with special instructions.
- What if my pet needs to take medication?
We will be glad to administer your pet's medications while they are with us.
- Can I get updates about my pet during their stay?
Yes, feel free to call us during your pet's stay for updates. If there is a problem, we will contact you via the emergency contact information you provide.
We are also able to offer curated text/email updates for an additional cost.
- How should I prepare for my pet's stay?
Each animal is different. To prepare for your pet's stay with us, we'll take the following steps to ensure that we can meet their unique needs.
Step 1: Contact us to get started
Call us to book, and discuss details about your pet and your boarding needs. A member of our team will be happy to coordinate your booking.
Please note that, due to the nature of our accommodations, pets must be up to date with all vaccinations and free of fleas and ticks to stay at our facility. We do accept unaltered dogs. However, unaltered dogs over the age of 6 are not eligible for play groups.
Step 2: Book a trial stay
We want to be absolutely sure that we are a good fit for your pet before an extended stay. We are happy to offer a trial stay with same-day drop-off and pick-up at a discounted rate.
Step 3: Set your pet up for success
On the day you drop your pet off with us, there are a few steps you can take to help reduce any stress your pet may feel.
Spend some extra time with your pet beforehand, and make sure they get some vigorous exercise so that they are feeling calm. When you arrive at our facility, stay calm, cheerful and confident during the separation.
