Dr. Haese
Dr. Becky Haese has been passionate about veterinary medicine and animals since childhood. She grew up down the street from a vet clinic outside of Milwaukee and she can still remember the jingle of the bell on the door, the sound of the fish tank in the lobby and the smell of the cleaner in the exam rooms during routine visits with her family’s Golden Retriever. She worked with that same vet clinic in elementary school to raise funds for the Wisconsin Vest-a-Dog program, which provides bulletproof vests to police K9’s. After high school Dr. Haese explored different components of veterinary medicine, including attending Montana State University to study Equine Medicine and attending Globe University technical school to become a Certified Veterinary Technician.
Gaining experience in both general practice and emergency medicine, Dr. Haese worked as a technician in several clinics within Wisconsin, Michigan and Nebraska. She initially joined the Badger family in 2017 and worked at both the Cambridge and Janesville locations. She still couldn’t get enough of vet med, so she returned to school in pursuit of becoming a doctor. Dr. Haese graduated from Iowa State College of Veterinary Medicine and completed additional training during vet school in both Canine Rehabilitation and mixed animal acupuncture from the Chi University.
The medical cases that Dr. Haese finds the most interesting include lameness, geriatric arthritis management, pain control and canine rehabilitation. She also has a special interest in orthopedic surgery and plans to pursue additional training to perform advanced surgical procedures.
When not at work, Dr. Haese enjoys being outside as much as possible, whether hunting, fishing, camping, hiking or reading. She lives with her husband, 3 dogs, 1 cat and ball python.
